![]() But that mindset of wiling to take risks, wanting to travel and have no consequences would’ve been what attracted Lorelai to him who was desperate to get out from under her parents. He knew he had big things lined up for him, so he took risks and fooled around because he felt there would be no consequences because his future was set. ![]() We have to seperate the character we see and what she was.Īnd I think Chris was a typical legacy boy. I think truthfully, Lorelai at sixteen had ideals and rebellions about leaving her parents behind because she felt coddled and suffocated which is expected, but due to her upbringing she would of been pretentious and entitled, and I don’t think until she was at the Inn raising Rory she would’ve had the life lessons to be the Lorelai that we know. We only know what Chris was meant to be like through Lorelai, and we know that Lorelai thought of herself as more free spirited and rebellious than maybe she was. I thought the idea was to show a different perspective of them. So that’s why I feel confident in thinking a woman who was pregnant as a teen would not have a late growth sprout. When I asked my ob/gyn about it and got checked out, the answer was: incipient post partum hypocalcemia. Yet my knees were killing me about a week after giving birth. Mostly, because even the slightest hypocalcemia affects the knees, apparently.Īnecdotally, I was pregnant at 31-32 and had a very pleasant pregnancy as well as a very good diet and supplements. Over the years we have seen many teen mothers and have had workshops and talks with different doctors (ob/gyns, traumatologist, endocrinologists, etc) that have covered the topic of hypocalcemia during pregnancy and post partum, how common that is, and that one of the many effects in pregnant teens (and pre-teens, which is a much more tragic topic) is to hinder their growth regarding height. Not that it matters much, but my username doesn’t mean that I am very rational, it’s just a philosophical joke, it’s actually a contradiction of terms.Īnyway, I’m part of a volunteer association in South America that assists girls and women from all social backgrounds in matters of health and reproduction. ![]() First of all, maybe I should have added some emoji to my comment asking if your sister had a baby like Lorelai did, because perhaps the playful tone I had in my head did not translate properly and that’s why your over-the-too reaction to it.
